What little girl wouldn’t love dressing her favorite baby doll up in a full, traditional, heirloom christening ensemble? Belinda’s Blessing was designed for the popular 15” soft-body baby doll, and also fits 14”- 16” baby dolls (chest approx. 12.5”- 14” measured around under arms). With a slightly larger hook and a few minor modifications, the outfit will also fit an 18” - 20” baby doll (chest size to 16”)! The matching blankets measure approx. 22-1/2” x 26” or 26” x 31”.

This set will also be treasured by doll collectors looking for just the right outfit for their “reborn” or other precious baby dolls, and the larger size may fit an actual “premie” baby.

The entire ensemble includes: Gown, Bonnet, Blanket, Bloomers, Booties, and a Bottle Cover that fits a 4” doll bottle! I used Plymouth Dreambaby Shine DK weight yarn, and trimmed the set with satin ribbons and ribbon roses. Of course, if making this set for younger children, I would not use any small trims that might pose a choking hazard.

Even though Dreambaby Shine is classified as a DK weight yarn, please be aware that all DK yarns are NOT created equal! For best results, choose a baby, sport, or light DK yarn with a suggested hook size of E or F.
