In this design you start from the front hem under the bust, then work up over the shoulders and after working the back lace you join your project in the round and finish in the round.
No seaming necessary.

The vest is intended to be worn with a shirt under so armpit depth is large (join is approximately at bra height) and the general fit is oversized.
I used silk yarn for my sample but if you don’t want to use silk yarn I suggest using superwash wool or a similar fiber that is a little slippery. A fuzzy yarn will not produce the same texture or surface.
