This pattern is designed to use the gorgeous shetland lace yarn from Hawkshaw Sheep. At 500m in 100g, it is a heavier lace weight, but knits up to be lovely and light, and cosy and warm at the same time.

It would be a great pattern to try with different weights of yarn, 4ply and fine lace weight.
Weigh your yarn as instructed to make sure there is enough for the lace border.

This shawl is worked as a bottom up triangle with a knitted on lace edging, or I-cord bind off to finish.

The pattern has written instructions and charts, and as it is lace you are working pattern on the right and wrong side.

There are instructions to knit a swatch that could be the beginning of your shawl, rather than just a square.
