This pattern was created in response to my ten-year-old’s request for a scarf that wasn’t too thick and had ‘twisty bits’ and ‘holey bits’. This is what I came up with. The narrow width means that even with chunky yarn it isn’t overwhelming for a child to wear, and for smaller children you can switch to a double knitting or Aran weight yarn for an even skinnier version. You can scale it up by using a superchunky yarn and bigger needles.
