Belladonna
Decorated in lace panels inspired by deadly nightshade, Belladonna is a sweet but subtly diabolical cropped cardigan. Belladonna is knit seamlessly from the top down, starting with the upper back. Stitches are picked up from the cast-on edge for the fronts, and the fronts and back are joined when the underarm stitches are added. The body is knit down with dart-inspired shaping on the fronts and back, centered around the narrower lace panels. With the body complete, stitches are picked up around the armholes to seamlessly add the set-in sleeves. After picking up stitches, short row sleeve caps are worked, and then the project is turned inside out. The remainder of the the sleeves are worked inside out in stockinette to get the look of reverse stockinette without excess purling. For the best fit, choose a size with 0-3 in / 0-8 cm of negative ease through the bust.
Pattern includes both written and charted version of stitch patterns.
