Belle ~ a cloche style hat, also part of the Neapolitan Chic Collection featuring a coordinating bolero jacket and flattering tunic top.

For a complete look to my bolero jacket and headband pattern Kimana, I wanted to add this enchanting hat, inspired after the vintage cloche hats, and my love of seeing young girls in hats, prompted this stylish hat design.

Belle; takes its namesake with a play on words for both the bell-shape of the hat, and it’s meaning: French for Beautiful

A perfect accessory worn with your doll’s favorite dress and an ideal finishing touch to my recently released bolero jacket and headband pattern, ‘Kimana’, as the headband can be added around the base of the hat for decoration, or taken off and used on it’s own

Construction: Worked flat: back and forth in rows ~ my preferred knitting technique using my bamboo straights. Worked bottom up with folded brim, shaped then seamed.

Variation: Work the underside of brim in contrast, with an additional contrast hatband option.

Skill Level:
Beginner - Easy: Project using basic stitches, repetitive stitch patterns, simple color changes, and simple shaping and finishing.
