KATYA FRANKEL has used short rows to produce a pleasing curved shape on her beautiful shawl. The lower border features a deep leaf lace pattern that forms a scalloped edge, while the upper edge is finished with garter stitch. Katya’s pattern calls for Fyberspates Vivacious 4ply, a superwash merino yarn that comes in glorious hand-dyed shades, from bright blues, pinks and green to softer greys. Each knits up into a subtly variegated, glowing fabric.

Shawl is cast on at lower edge with larger needle; lace pattern and stockinette body are worked with smaller needle. Shawl is shaped with short rows into a circular shape with a depth of 16 inches and length of 98 inches around the longest edge.

Shown in Fyberspates Vivacious 4ply colour Mixed Magenta (611). Calls for 2 skeins.
