The 3rd and so far final of the doll collection (there is one more in very slow development).

This doll has similar limbs and legs to the initial first 2 dolls, but with further development in the bust-line and head shape of the doll.

Whoever said knitted dolls couldn’t be drop-dead gorgeous?

I was quite horrified with myself that I took on this detailed project, but eventually I did actually had a lot of fun finding the little trims like gold braids and beads to detail her with as her clothing came together.
Subsequently - she is my favorite.

The pattern contains all instructions for knitting and making her body as well as all clothes and detailing and options to help your own creation on the way.

The completed doll stands around 39cm tall with a spine support and wired limbs (pre-wrapped florist wire) to assist with posing. She is shelf or desk sized, where she can sit and watch the world.

Please note: this doll is unsuitable for young children and is a piece intended for teenagers and above.

As an aside, while researching the ethnic originality of the Belly Dancing Art, I discovered that the dance was used to help newly young married young women in childbirth.

Oh, you will need 1 x 250gm ball of DK yarn for the body and the same again for her hair.
For her clothing, I used DK yarn for the base of clothing, but complimented this with a metallic crochet yarn, I believe off memory, I used 1/3 - 1/2 of the ‘spool’
