Beloved Trees is a playful long looped cowl with both traditional cables and travelling cables, weaving together both branches and hearts. Pattern instructions are both written and charted.The design is based on a 40 stitch pattern that is 60 rows tall. Although the long loop is eight repeats of the pattern, a neck warmer version with three pattern repeats across is also shown.

Finished Size for long loop: 8” tall x 68” around
Finished size for neck warmer : 9 1/2” tall x 22” around

Yarn: 175g/500 yds sport weight for long loop, 50g /240 yds for neck warmer. Solid colors show cables the best, as does something with a crisp hand.

Gauge: 4.75 st/inch in 2/2 ribbing, not stretched.

Needles: Size US7/4.5mm 29” circ, or whatever gives you a nice soft drape and approximate gauge. 16” for the neck warmer, or use the magic loop method.
