BELZA is a very feminine cardigan with slightly puffed sleeves, tightened by a long cuff and a V-neck.
It is knitted from top to bottom seamlessly. We start the yoke from the back then the front are picked on the top of the shoulders formed by shortened rows. The stitches of the sleeves are picked up then worked at the same time as the top of the body then left on standby when separating.
The body (back and front) is then knitted back and forth. The stitches of the sleeves are taken back and worked in the round. The neckline is picked up and knitted in rib.

Finished bust circumference approximately: 38 (37.75 - 40 - 41.25) 45.75 (46.5 - 49.5 - 53) 57 (61.5 - 59) inches or 91 (96 - 101) 105 (116 - 126) 135 (145 - 156) cm.

GAUGE: 21 sts x 28 rows for 4 x 4 inches or 10 x 10 cm in st st with larger needles.

YARN: this cardigan is knitted with two strands of lace and fingering weight held together.
Approximately 1180 (1300 - 1320) 1400 (1540 - 1710) 1850 (2020 - 2160) yards or 1080 (1180 - 1200) 1290 (1410 - 1560) 1690 (1850 - 1980) m of each yarn in total.
If you prefer, you can knit this sweater with only one strand of a DK weight yarn.

NOTIONS: needles sizes 2.75 mm/US 2 (buttons), 3 mm/US 2.5 (rib), 4 mm/US 6 (body and sleeves) and an additional needle 3 mm/US 2.5 (buttonband), tapestry needle, cable to hold live stitches, 2 stitches markers and 4 buttons 20 mm.

NOTES: the pattern is knitted using Kid Mohair and Soie (kid silk mohair - 50g = 420m) and Merino SW (100g = 400m) from Yarneline color « Madame Catastrophe ».

Recommended ease: 2.25 to 4.75 inches or 6 to 12 cm of positive ease. To pick your best size, measure your full bust and add your desired ease, then pick the finished bust circumference closest to that number.
Sample is shown in size 3 with 3.5 inches or 9 cm of positive ease.

BELZA est un cardigan très féminin avec des manches légèrement ballon, resserrées par un long poignet et une encolure V. Il est tricoté de haut en bas sans couture.
On commence l’empiècement par le dos puis les devants sont relevés sur le haut des épaules formées par des rangs raccourcis. Les mailles des manches sont relevées puis travaillées en même temps que le haut du corps puis laissées en attente à la séparation. Le corps (dos et devant) est ensuite travaillé en aller-retour. Les mailles des manches sont reprises et tricotées en rond. L’encolure est relevée et tricotée en côtes.

Tour de poitrine du vêtement terminé environ 91 (96 - 101) 105 (116 - 126) 135 (145 - 156) cm.

ECHANTILLON : 21 m x 28 rgs pour 10 x 10 cm en jersey avec les aiguilles 4.

LAINE : le modèle se tricote avec deux fils tenus ensemble : un fil de type fingering et un fil de type lace.
Environ 1080 (1180 - 1200) 1290 (1410 - 1560) 1690 (1850 - 1980) m au total de chaque fil.

MATERIEL : aiguilles suggérées n° 2,75 (boutons), n° 3 (côtes) et n°4 (corps et manches), une aiguille supplémentaire n° 3 (patte de boutonnage), une aiguille à laine, câbles pour mettre les mailles en attente et 2 anneaux marqueurs amovibles et 4 boutons de 20 mm.

Il est conseillé de le porter avec une aisance positive de 6 à 12 cm. Pour choisir la meilleure taille, mesurer le tour de poitrine et ajouter l’aisance souhaitée, puis choisir la circonférence de poitrine finie la plus proche de ce nombre. Il est bien sûr possible de choisir d’avoir un tricot plus ou moins près du corps et de tricoter une taille avec plus ou moins d’aisance que préconisé.
Il est présenté en taille 3 avec 9 cm d’aisance positive.
