You can use aran/worsted weight yarn or work with 2 ball yarn/skein/ together and you can get than DK size yarn. The most obvios way of working with two yarns at once is to simly hold two stands of yarn together from two separate balls of yarn. But you can use bigger weight yarn and do not need this way
