Come and crochet this adorable little band of friends with me – a friendly teddy bear, a quiet bunny, and one little rascal of a cat are eager to keep you company.

The bear is named cousin Benedict, the bunny baby – cousin Agnes, and the tomboy cat answers to Thomas.

These animals from my new illustrated crochet tutorial have different muzzles and ears, while their bodies are the same, each one about 25 cm 10 in tall. Just the right size to fit into a child’s little hand, and small enough to not let you get too tired from crocheting!

As a bonus, the pattern also contains three articles of removable clothing. The bear comes with pants on a suspender, the bunny with a pinafore dress, and the cat with a striped shirt. You can either make the assigned garment for each animal, or switch and combine to your taste, such as shorts with shirt, or pinafore dress and shirt. Making these outfits is real fun for you, and dressing up the animals will develop your child’s fine motor skills.

The 20-pages pattern contains instructions to make a teddy bear, a bunny, a cat, a pants on a suspender, pinafore dress and a striped shirt . Instructions are written out as row-by-row description with detailed explanations and helpful progress photos.

Materials and Tools needed:

For the toys, I used YarnArt Denim Washed (80% cotton, 20% acrylic; 50 g 1.76 oz – 130 m 142 yds) and a 2.25 mm crochet hook US 1.

For a bear – 80 g 2.8 oz of brown color (№926)
For a cat – 72 g 2.5 oz of gray color (№908)
For a bunny – 82 g 2.9 oz of white color (№900)

For the muzzle – YarnArt Jeans yarn (55% cotton, 45% PAC; 50 g 1.76 oz – 160 m 174 yds) in colors pink, black and brown.

For pants with suspender – 22 g 0.8 oz of color burgundy (№918) YarnArt Denim Washed
For pinafore dress – 30 g 1.1 oz of color pink (№906) and 2 g 0.1 oz of color crimson (№903) YarnArt Denim Washed
For T-shirt – 6 g 0.2 oz of color white (№62) and 4 g 0.2 oz of color blue (№76) YarnArt Jeans

Fiberfil – about 40 g for one toy.
8 mm 0.3 in safety eyes.
9 mm 0.35 in buttons – 2 for the T-shirt, 2 for the pinafore dress, 1 for the pants.
Decorative button for the T-shirt.
