Bensham
Bensham is my first garment design and is dedicated to the the area where I live in Gateshead. A boxy, sleeveless top, it is adaptable to however you want to wear it. It is knitted in the round from the bottom up to the underarms then the front and back are worked flat. It is knitted at a 22 st gauge, so sport weight yarn could easily be substituted for 4ply/fingering or DK weight yarn.
Appriximate yarn required for each size
33” (35”, 39”, 40”, 43”, 46”, 50”, 54”) 447yds (514, 566, 642, 733, 886,
Special thanks go to my testers Wendy Strand, Karen Gilbert Cook, Chris Powell, Frankie’s Wool, Alice Buchan, Amy Bright, Nicola Prosser, Sam Webb, Caroline Meehan, Rachel Bradford, Mandy Cogan and Amanda Leach. Without these fabulous and talented knitters this pattern would not exist
