Berenen is an Old English word that means “to ornament with silver”. The silver-grey motif on this deep purple neck cowl is detailed and delicate. The motifs, which are from the Renaissance period combine to create a pretty cold-weather adornment that would not look out of place encircling the neck of a duchess or marchioness.
