Beret Aflame
Beret Aflame is a slouchy beret worked upwards from the brim to the crown. It begins with a provisional cast-on and a double thickness brim to help keep the hat in place. The pretty stitch pattern forms flames leaping towards the reverse stocking stitch crown to make a lighter weight beret ideal for those spring and autumn days with a slight nip in the air.
The beret is sized to fit an average woman’s head of approximately 22 ½” (57cm) circumference. The band measures 20” (51cm) while the circumference at the widest part of the hat is approximately 31” (79cm).
The pattern includes both charted and full written instructions for the flame pattern. It is not necessary to use charts to work this pattern.
This pattern is also available as part of the Aflame Collection e-book, which represents a significant saving on buying the three patterns separately. No refunds will be made if you buy an individual pattern and then wish to buy the eBook afterwards.
