About the Pattern:

This beret is worked from the top down with textured broken rib stitch that gives the body of the hat character while it can still fit with a variety of outfits. I chose to top the beret with a Pom Pom, but you can definitely do a more traditional I-cord top if you’d like.

Sizing:

Adult, (Adult Large)
To fit a head circumference of 20”-22”/51cm-56cm,(22”-24”/56cm-61cm)

Yarn:

Suggested Yarn: Alpaca Heather by Manos del Uruguay, 70% Wool, 30% Alpaca 328yds / 300m in 100g
For this project you will need the following yardage of Alpaca Heather 165yds/151m (185yds/170m)

Needles:

US size 5 (3.75mm) 16” (40cm) circular needle
US size 5 (3.75mm) DPNs or
US size 5 (3.75mm) 24”+ (60cm+) circular for magic loop
US size 4 (3.5mm) DPNs or
US size 4 (3.5mm) 16”/41 circular for brim
Or needle size needed to achieve gauge
