This hat is named after the beautiful but gritty city Berlin, which we used to visit every summer as children. The Berlin Hat pattern works best in a tonal-dyed yarn, such as Mineville Wool Project DK, Sweet Paprika Designs Minuet, or Blue Brick Escarpment DK. The pattern photo on the front page uses one skein of Blue Brick Escarpment DK in Aster.

The Berlin Hat pattern is multi-sized, so there are directions to fit toddlers, children, and adults. The adult pattern has options for either a slouchy fit or a closer beanie/toque fit.

The Berlin Hat is crocheted sideways and then seamed. All stitches are worked in back loop only (BLO).
