After Bernie’s mittens became a sensation, I was inspired to make my own. The original mittens were made by reusing sweaters. I mimicked the original sweater designs to create my own. I love that the pattern on the back of the hand and the palms are completely different and knit in different directions. These mittens would look great in a variety of colors.

This item is a digital download of the knitting pattern I developed. The pattern assumes that the knitter is familiar with knitting and working with multiple colors. Part of the pattern is based on charts and part of the pattern is written out. Feel free to contact me with any questions!
