This little stitch pattern, found in a variety of Orkney items, is ideal for socks.

Materials
To fit: young child (teen, plus)
30 (45, 65) g 4 ply/fingering yarn
2.5 mm needles

To fit: toddler (older child, woman)
25 (35, 55) g 4 ply/fingering yarn
2 mm needles

Tension
26 on the larger needles and 28 sts on the smaller needles to 4”. Row tension is not important.

NOTE
For the toddler and young child sizes use the first set of figures, for the older child and teen use the second, and for woman and plus use the third.
