La “berritta” è un copricapo tipico dell’abbigliamento maschile tradizionale sardo, costituito da un lungo tubo in orbace nera tessuto al telaio.
Ho lavorato questo copricapo ispirandomi sia alle “berritte” sia ai tessuti della tradizione sarda con i quali venivano realizzate le bisacce o “bertule”. Queste avevano spesso una fascia decorata con una serie di figure a balletto o con motivi floreali.
Il berretto è adatto a una testa con circonferenza 60 cm ed è lavorato in tondo con i ferri circolari.
Occorrente: Circa 150 gr di lana bianca e nera, pochi grammi di lana rossa.

The “berrìtta” is a typical headgear of the traditional Sardinian men’s clothing, made up of a long black tube woven to the chassis.
I knitted on this hat, inspired by both the “berritte” and the fabrics of Sardinian traditions with which the “bertule” bags were made.
They had a band decorated with a series of dancers or floral motifs.
The hat is suitable for a head with circumference of about 60 cm and is worked round with circulars Needles.
