For a tiny newborn you can use smaller crochet hook or lighter yarn, you can make shorter bib or/and shorter straps.
If you omit the ruffles it could be perfect for boys too!

• crochet hook 3.5mm or size needed to obtain gauge
• 2 buttons (approx.. 1.8cm)
