Bert is a practical crossbody bag, designed for everyday use. It’s light and compact and it has the perfect size to carry all your essentials.
The colorwork technique and flat structure provide just enough thickness and consistency to prevent it from deforming.
It’s knitted top-down seamlessly (from the tip of the lid to the base) and lined with cotton fabric (easy to hand sew). This keeps the interior cleaner and more functional and reinforces the structure of the bag (so it doesn’t lose its shape when is full).
It requires a small amount of yarn and is a quick project, perfect for beginners who want to learn the colorwork technique and for those knitters who want to get started in the world of sewing.
You can customize the bag with a lid with or without buttonhole or by changing the strap for a leather strip or handknitted i-cord. The pattern includes the instructions and different ideas for close it.
