Hi there! I am very proud to introduce you to Mr. Bertie Badger :) Bertie is made using the Japanese style of crochet known as amigurumi, which means he is crocheted in the round, in continuous spirals.

Bertie lives in the magical land of Arann and loves walking through the forests and fields that surround his home. He is very sociable & loves to meet up with his family & friends whenever he can. He is also very neat and tidy & keeps his sett very clean at all times!

This original Moon of Arann pattern is fun & easy to follow and comes complete with step by step photo instructions, handy templates and fun facts to add to the fun! Further information, including written & photo tutorials for all the skills you will need to complete your very own Bertie, as well as top tips, and lots more, is available on www.moonofarann.com.

This pattern is aimed at a medium to experienced skill set, but would also make an excellent challenge for a beginner!

To make your very own Bertie you will need:

  • 1 ball of 100g “Tivoli Celtic Aran” in shade no 951 (white)
  • 2 balls of 100g “Tivoli Celtic Aran” in shade no 952 (black)
  • Six 15mm solid black safety eyes. If giving the finished item to a child, please sew the arms and legs onto the body and embroider the eyes
  • 3.5mm (E) & 4.0mm (G) crochet hooks.
  • Yarn needle.
  • Toy Stuffing.
  • Black & white felt.
  • Felt Templates (provided in pattern)
  • Scissors.
  • Stitch marker.

So why not bring some Moon of Arann magic into your life by creating your very own Bertie Badger?! And don’t forget to share your photos using the #moonofaranncrochet, I would love to see them & all the links can be found on my website.

Happy crocheting! :)
