Bertie Bear
Have you always wanted to make a classic bear but can’t find a good pattern? This is the one for you! This pattern could NOT be easier to follow (worked mainly in single crochet (UK double crochet) and includes a detailed photo tutorial showing you how to assemble your bear from start to finish.
Making a bear for that special person has got to be the ultimate gesture of love. This little bear will be a beautiful heirloom to be treasured by your loved one for years to come. Why not make him in time for Christmas? He’ll look great sitting under the Christmas tree with his little red scarf!
The pattern includes instructions for making the bear PLUS some cute little accessories for him or her to wear - a waistcoat or vest with a little wooden button and a nice cozy scarf to keep out winter chills.
You can make the bear in any yarn you like -
For the Large Bear (12” high seated) you’ll need about 360mts (375yds) worsted (aran) yarn and a 4.5mm hook (US 7).
Make Bertie a little sister!
For the smaller bear (10” seated), you need about 360mts (375yds) dk yarn and a 3.5mm hook (US E/4),
For each bear, you’ll also need some oddments for the paws, eyes and snout.
