Bertie Blanket
The Bertie Blanket crochet pattern is a 9 page pattern that uses 10 X 100g balls of Stylecraft Special DK. You can choose any colour combination that you have.
The Bertie Blanket is a sampler style blanket that uses several crochet stitches that are repeated to create this wonderful textured blanket.
At Swindon Big Knit we make blankets mainly for the homeless, so with this in mind, the blankets have a masculine appearance using stitches that are less pretty and more on the chunky side.
With charity blankets one of the important factors is to have a blanket that grows quickly, so many of the stitches are ‘tall’ stitches, such as trebles or double trebles.
The blanket uses 10 100g balls of yarn with as little waste as possible, making this blanket very economical.
This Blanket pattern was designed for Swindon Big Knit by Suzy Cowper of TeaCosyFolk.
100% of the money raised by the sale of this pattern will go to Swindon Big Knit to buy more yarn to continue our work and to help more people. Thank you.
