SKEINO’s BERTIE’s SHAWL has classic simplicity to its overall lacy design. This alternate knitting with three yarns and three rows each is a wonderful first project for a knitter who is just beginning to knit.

The pattern is designed with all knit stitches, yarn overs and knit 2 together to create a lacy texture.

The shawl is knitted lengthwise and the yarn changes are easy by keeping 8 inches for self-fringing. The yarn is very soft, because the merino fibers are only 19.5 micron thick and the special treatment makes the shawl machine washable.

The shawl has a wonderful drape and can be worn in many ways.
