Beruna Socks
At shows we often get asked “Are crochet socks comfortable?” and we always reply “Yes, if they are well designed.” Crochet socks need stretch built in with the stitches so that they hug the foot and they need to be made from a proper sock yarn with nylon so that they last. Joanne was deeply unconvinced by crochet socks until pushed to design some for a class so she did some materials research and found all the secrets to the perfect crochet sock. All perfectly summed up for you in this design. Oh, and they are really pretty and quick to make too!
Beruna forms part of the book Everyday Wearables - a collection of eight wardrobe staples with comprehensive instructions and many photo tutorials to help you make garments that fit and flatter.
Pattern is written in standard UK crochet terminology with US translations provided in the abbreviations.
