Designed by Aimee Hansen, this pattern celebrates the incredible colors in variegated yarn, in particular, the Peruvian Dream Worsted from MJ Yarns. This pattern uses the Crunch Stitch, a basic back and forth half double crochet and slip stitch pattern. Alternating between the two allows that free loop of the half double crochet to give your piece texture and a little ridge through your pattern, almost like a tight, loopy ridge throughout.

I recommend that you mark the first two and last two stitches of every row to make it easier to identify where to place your next stitch. The beginning and end slip stitches tend to tighten the most so a little extra help with a stitch marker is a good help.
