Bessie Hat
I love hats…I always have. Not only are they practical for warmth or protection from the sun, they can also be classy, flirty, elegant, and even outrageous! Hats express my mood from day to day or even hour to hour, and of course, they also make great gifts for other hat lovers because they’re quick to make. This collection of five patterns was great fun to design and crochet, and in just a few hours’ time, you can finish them all, too.
Sizeing for these hats are dependent upon the size yarn and hook you choose. Baby/child hats are worked using baby or sport yarn and hooks such as F and G; adult hats can be worked with anything from a sport weight to chunky with hook sized G to a J, depending on how large you want them and what fits the yarn/your personality best (see model notes). Keep in mind that the lacier designs will have more open spaces when working with a larger hook—which makes them just right for spring and summer.
