Best Buds Lace Up Sweater
The Best Buds Pullover is the perfect sweater for casual or dressy events. It is comfy, cozy and so stylish. With a slightly oversize fit and slim balloon sleeves, this sweater is roomy and squishy, and the lacing down the sides makes the sweater different from other everyday sweaters. The classic Garter Stitch edging frames the boxy fit of this pullover and adds just enough texture against the chunky Stockinette Stitch. Choose between 3 lacing options and 2 collars (crew or cowl).
Skills required for this intermediate knit are knitting in the round, knitting flat, knit and purl stitches, ribbing, picking up stitches, increase stitches (M1R, M1L), button holes (optional) and blocking knowledge.
Included in this pattern are a materials list, size chart, abbreviation key, stitch explanation glossary, gauge, tips, alternatives, schematic drawing (with measurements) and color coding for sizes (skip the circling).
Fits size, (actual measurement with ~2-4” positive ease)
XS ~ 30-32” bust, (38”)
S ~ 32-34” bust, (40”)
M ~ 36-38” bust, (42”)
L ~ 38-42” bust, (44”)
XL ~ 38-40” bust, (46”)
2XL ~ 42-44” bust, (49”)
3XL ~ 46-48” bust, (51”)
**This sweater fits largely oversize. Knit your regular size for an oversize fit, knit down a size (or two) for a more snug/fitted sweater. With the oversize fit, bust sizes larger than the 3XL will fit in this sweater.**
As with most of my patterns, I include options to customize this sweater to preference. Choose between 2 collars, 3 side lace options, and notes on tapering the sleeve. Bulky weight yarn may also be substituted with knitting with 2 strands of worsted (double stranded).
