The Best Friend Butterfly Blanket was born from a blanket my grandmother designed and gifted to many.
This blanket is a smaller size than the original (perfect for babies or laps) with a garter ridge border framing the butterfly stitch pattern nicely.
The blanket can be taken on many adventures becoming the recipients new Best Friend. Worked out of acrylic yarn it can be thrown into the washing machine giving ease to the new parents. The Big Twist Value yarn gives a bang for the buck and is available in an array of colors. It takes 2 balls. The repetitive stitch pattern is easy to follow. US size 8 needles makes this a relatively quick knit.
Fun Fact: A group of butterflies is called a Kaleidoscope!
