Sometimes life gives you lemons, sometimes you grab those lemons yourself but all you can do is make lemonade and live your Best Life. Tomorrow is another day and what doesn’t kill us, makes us stronger. This Beanie or Slouchy Hat if you prefer, was designed during a period of high stress for me and it reminded me that I can’t beat myself up over past mistakes and each day is a new day to try to love myself and live my Best Life.

Materials Needed-
Yarn- I used about 200 yds of DK Weight yarn and Worsted Weight Yarn, depending on what size you are making, yardage may vary.

Hook- I used a G+/4.5mm Furls Odyssey Hook for the Child Size with DK Weight Yarn. For the Teen/Small Adult, I used Worsted Weight with a 5.00mm. For the Large Adult, I used Worsted Weight and a 6.00mm hook. I do crochet with tight tension.

Stitch Markers, Scissors, Yarn Needle, Pom Pom if desired.

Stitches/Abbreviations Used-
Ch.- Chain
Sk.- Skip Stitch or Space
SC- Single Crochet
SS- Slipstitch
HDC- Half Double Crochet
BLO- Back Loop Only
HDC2TOG- Standard Decrease using HDC
3RD LOOP- The V on the backside of the HDC stitch from previous row
DC- Double Crochet
CROSSED DC- Working in front of DC just made, make a DC in skipped stitch before DC last made to form a cross.
SHELL- 5 DC in one stitch or space
DC2TOG- Standard Decrease using DC
FO- Fasten Off
