You require two colors of yarn, color 1 (C1, blue on illustrations and charts) and color 2 (C2, white on illustrations and charts).

Terminology: all crochet terms used are U.S.

Technique: Overlay mosaic crochet row by row, Overlay mosaic row by row with Envelope border in the round, Interlocking filet crochet.

Yarn: for example, Scheepjes Stone Washed
Yarn weight: Sport. Ball weight: 50 g, yarn length:130 m (142.17 yds).

Gauge: 10 stitches in 5cm (2”) by 5 rows in 5cm (2”) in dc stitch pattern.
Using a different gauge won’t affect the design, but it will change the finish size and the amount of yarn needed.

Hook 3.25 – 3.5 mm. Hook size needed to match the gauge.

Yardage approx.

• Overlay mosaic crochet row by row full width or Interlocking filet crochet: 2400 m for each color (2624 yds for each color)
• Overlay mosaic row by row with Envelope border in the round: 1700 m C1 yarn (1859 yds), 1800 m C2 yarn (1968 yds) for the two main panels, 1400 m (1531 yds) C1 yarn and 1200 m (1312 yds) C2 yarn for the two envelope borders

Size: Size of each panel is approx. 148 x 62 cm (297 stitches x 125 rows, 58 x 24 inches). If this size is too large, use a thinner yarn and hook. You will need two of these panels.
