This shawl is one in a series of four to represent each of the characters in Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. The colours are selected to represent each character and the design of each shawl also reflects their personalities.

This shawl can be made larger or smaller by adding or taking away motifs as desired. Obviously more or less yarn will then be required.

You will need approximately 1.5 skeins of yarn to complete this project in the yarn suggested.

As well as a 4mm crochet hook you will need a darning needle and scissors and blocking mats and pins to block the finished shawl.

The shawl is made as a series of motifs joined as you go and then edged with a border.
