Measurements:
Chest circumference (closed):
Approximately 52.5 (56, 59, 61, 63) cm.
Total length from mid back (excluding the back neck edging):
Approximately 30 (33, 35, 38, 39)

Recommended needles:
3.5mm, and 4mm circular needles, 80 cm long.

Yarn:
Garn studio Drops Lima (color Almond no.9024)
(Content: 65% wool, 35% alpaca. Weight/Length: 50gm= Approx. 100m)
Garn studio Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk (color Almond no.36)
(Content: 77% alpaca, 23% silk. Weight/Length: 25gm= Approx. 140m)
Amount of yarn used:
Drops Lima: 100 (150, 150, 150, 150) gms.
Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk: 25 (25, 25, 25, 25) gms.
Buttons:
2 (2, 3, 3, 3) 18 mm buttons.
Gauge/Tension (Blocked):
21 sts x 28 rows in reverse stockinette stitch with Lima on 4mm needles = 10cm x 10cm
(Take your time to get correct stitch AND row/round gauge. You might change needles size to get the correct gauge)
Bethany vest is knitted top down, starting with the back yoke which is worked back and forth (while shaping with short rows) till it’s finished. After that sts are picked up across the shoulders to form the front yoke, then the body is worked back and forth.
This vest has approximately 4.5-8 cm of positive ease.
Please note that any change in gauge or switching to yarn of different composition might not give you the same finished measurements or finished look.
