Beth's Geometric Gloves
These gloves are knit in the round on 2.75mm knitting needles. You can easily change colors and/or use the magic loop to make these.
I knit mine in orange and purple fingering weight yarn from knitpicks.com but any fingering weight yarn will do. You need 50-60 grams (230-260 yards) for a pair of gloves. I used about 30g (approximately 150yards) of the main color and 20g (approximately 100 yards) of my offset color. Buying two fingering weight balls from knitpicks will give you more then enough for one pair of gloves.
This pattern used the following terms: Knit and Purl, in the round, and K1Tbl. All steps are explained and broken down in picture tutorials, including how to cast on. Colorwork and thumb gusset is charted. Both sides of the glove are the same, creating a seamless pattern all the way around.
Thumb is knit gusset style, and fully explained in picture and text tutorial.
Any item made from this pattern can be sold or used as you see fit. I will video chat with you if you need help, and am always available through e-mail.
My gloves had .5 inches of negative ease on my palms. I have 8 inch palms measured all the way around and six inch wrists.
