This pattern is an openwork, lightweight prayer shawl with a ‘wing’ effect and three choices for borders.

This 31 page pattern comes with written instructions and color coded hand-drawn charts. Charts and instructions are included for each of the 3 optional borders and gives directions for the borders that can be finished as plain, beaded, or fringed, depending on your personal choice.

Proceeds from the sales of this pattern will be donated to the Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, TX USA, for childhood cancer research.

It was originally designed to use Wolltraum My Melodyy 4-ply 8.8 oz/250g, 1038yd/950m cake.

This pattern is easily adaptable to various yarns and hook sizes. Some alternative yarns used during the pattern testing: Loops & Threads Woollike 1000 to 1400 yards; Malabrigo 880 yards; Cascade Sateen 1000 yards; Katia Yarn 1000m in Tempera and Phildar Yarn 250m in Phil Cabotine; and Caron Simply Soft Party 1000 yards.
