Betty's Coat Scarf

My Mother was the design inspiration for this scarf. She likes a short scarf so that there is no danger of tripping and she likes the ends tucked inside her coat. Ends can cross the chest flat or be tied in a simple knot at the neck opening of the coat.
This simple scarf is a good beginner’s project as it features three pattern sections all based on knit and purl stitches.
Scarf shown used a partial skein of Red Heart yarn from my Grandmother’s stash. It works up nicely from a worsted weight wool.
