There is no top or bottom, no right or wrong with this shape-shifting cowl! Betula Ring is the versatile accessory born when the button placket collar meets the stockinette loop. Knit from just one skein of bulky yarn, it’s quick, warm, and the perfect addition to your winter wardrobe.

SKILL LEVEL: easy

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
CIRCUMFERENCE: 20” (50.8 cm)

MATERIALS
YARN: Three Irish Girls Springvale Bulky (100% Merino, 98 yds / 4 oz): 1 skein in Winter Birch
Note: if using the recommended yarn, expect to use every last yard and mind your gauge if you want to stick to one skein. I recommend keeping your gauge swatch attached to the skein so you can unravel it before casting on.

NEEDLES: 16” circular needle and one double pointed needle (dpn) in US 10 (6 mm) OR size required to obtain gauge.

NOTIONS: one stitch mkr, 3 buttons approximately 1” in diameter (sample buttons are JHB brand, item #1670), darning needle for weaving in ends
