BETWEEN THE LINES COWL resulted from thinking about the creative opportunities that the yarn provided. I began by “harvesting” and reserving small balls of solid color from the multi-colored skein. Then, using a provisional cast on, I worked with the yarn as it came off the skein, occasionally inserting a new color of one of my harvested balls, which I worked in a reverse stockinette stitch. Once the desired length was worked, I worked several rows of the color used in the beginning so my Kitchener stitch closure would be hidden. I think the finished project is one of strong simplicity.
