Between the Raindrops Hat & Headband
Details
The Between the Raindrops Hat is offered in both a Top-Down and a Bottom(Brim)-Up version so you can pick your favorite way to crochet a hat. The Headband works up nicely, and is a fun option too! I named it because I thought the design turned out looking like raindrops falling, which made me think of the Lifehouse song “Between the Raindrops.”
This project can be made with any yarn, using the measurements throughout the pattern to achieve the right size! The sample was made with worsted weight yarn, an I (5.5MM) hook for the Body and G (4.0MM) hook for the Brim. Sizing is given for Baby, Toddler, Child and Adult sizes. A flower pattern is also included! This project works up quickly!
Stitching
For the bottom-up Between the Raindrops Hat and Headband, the Brim is worked in short rows first, joined, and you begin working in joined rounds up from the side of the rows’ ends. For the top-down hat, you begin at the crown and work the design until you reach height for the Brim, where front and back post stitches are used. Overall, you are sure to have great texture that looks like raindrops falling!
