The Between the Stars Shawl was created in collaboration with Madision Wool in Madison, CT to celebrate the annual I-91 Shop Hop. Our goal was to create a one-skein shawl with some interesting texture that would be an accessible and fun pattern for makers of all skill levels. Beginning with an eyelet motif that gradually fades away, the shawl is worked sideways, allowing you to get the absolute most out of that one perfect skein of yarn!

Materials

Approximately 400 yds / 365 m fingering weight yarn or any yarn with which you can match gauge Sample used Wonderland Yarns and Frabjous Fibers Queen of Hearts in Nebula (410 yds / 375 m per 100g)
US 7 /4.5 mm crochet hook (or hook size required to meet gauge)
Removable stitch marker to mark right side (optional)
Darning needle

Gauge

21 stitches and 14 rows = 4” / 10 cm in hdc worked flat, blocked on US 7 /4.5 mm hook

Sizing

If made to pattern, final dimensions should be approximately 58.5”/ 146.25 cm wide x 10.5” / 26.25 cm deep

A Note on Yarn and Gauge

While written for fingering weight yarn, this pattern can easily be worked with other weights or with more than one skein of fingering weight yarn!
