This garment can be either a scarf or a shawl. Knitter will decide how large, wide & long the finished project will be (as long as enough yarn is available); or small enough to be a scarf, depending on how many yards are included in the ball of yarn; with any weight yarn or quantity & yardage.

There is no gauge.
Shawl/Scarf is worked in garter stitch (no purling).
Use needle size to suit your yarn and which seems aesthetically pleasing to you.
