Bevvy Slouchy Hat
Ready to try a twist on a classic? The Bevvy Slouchy Hat Pattern takes the traditional basketweave pattern and condenses the design for a thinner, more flexible weave. With such great texture, this slouchy pattern would look just as great in a solid colorway as it does with a striped, speckled, or even variegated yarn.
And, it’s the perfect compliment to my Bevvy Infinity Scarf Pattern!
This easy crochet pattern uses approximately 300 yards of a light DK weight or a fingering weight yarn in the fiber of your choice to make a hat that’s one size fits most adults, long enough to be worn as a slouchy or with the brim turned up as a beanie. (Featured yarn is Lion Brand Ice Cream in colors Grape and Bubble Gum. This yarn is considered a fingering (2) weight, but I found that it works up more like a DK which is why I’m recommending a lighter DK weight yarn.) Also required are a US-H 8/5.00mm crochet hook, tapestry needle, and scissors.
