From my Mom’s letter:
Boy’s are a constant adventure, I tell you this as it it true, Be careful of boy’s pockets. You never know what you will find, from frogs, to rocks, to pieces of string. And then there is tomatoes. Your brother Tommy disliked tomatoes although he enjoys them now, one day at school there were tomatoes on the sandwich. When I went to do the wash the next morning I reached into his pocket and found slimy tomatoes. Other times I found shells or rocks or even little seeds. The most important I learned was what may seem like a toss away to us is a treasure in a child’s eyes. Where I saw a pebble , Finn saw part of a castle moat, where I saw a shell, Ferg saw part of the ocean. Your children’s treasure are the windows to the world treasure them and the children who bring them
