I needed a cowl for these cold Wisconsin winters. I wanted something that would be snug so it would fit under my jacket when it’s zipped up yet would look nice on those warmer days with my jacket partially open. It couldn’t be too bulky but still needed to block the icy winds. Colorwork, with it’s extra layer of yarn in the floats, fit the bill perfectly. It’s in red and black to match my jacket but would look lovely in any high contrast color combination.

This pattern includes two versions of the chart. One with white as the main color and black as the background and one inversed (black as main color, white as background) so that you may choose the one that works for you.
