Create your own personal children’s hat (girl and boy version) with this guide to a unique construction. Knit a rather simple hat (top-down construction) and then embellish it with a border of your own liking: a little crown for a princess or a helmet for a knight.
This hat is easy in its basic form but it can be embellished to infinity and beyond, hence the name. Use any type of pattern for the border (see pictures for inspiration).
Any pattern with a curvy flow, like the feather and fan pattern or the jaywalker pattern would look nice as a border. Let your imagination run wild!

Please note that I knit very tightly - so you need to be extra careful concerning the increases - instructions for changes are given.

Stricke dir eine ganz persönliche Kindermütze (Mädchen- und Jungenversion) mit dieser Anleitung für eine einzigartige Mützenkonstruktion. Eine recht einfache Mütze (von oben gestrickt) wird mit einer schmückenden Borte ganz nach Geschmack verziert: eine kleine spitze Krone für ein Mädchen oder Zacken für einen Ritterhelm.
Die Mütze ist leicht in der Grundform und kann dann unendlich variiert werden (daher der Name). Jede Art von Muster kann für die Schmuckborte verwendet werden (siehe Bilder zur Inspiration).
Jede Art von geschwungenem Muster eignet sich, z.B. ein Pfauenschweifmuster oder das Jaywalkermuster. Der Kreativität sind keine Grenzen gesetzt!
