Biancospino …( Hawthorn in English) is the plant of the fairies … Celtic legend tells that it is possible to see the spirits of the forest where a Hawthorn tree grows.

Biancospino is a comfortable, resistant, warm and versatile sweater, designed to be worn outdoors, in touch with nature.
It is a top-down, circular yoke sweater.
Gradual increases are made in the yoke up to the sleeves that will be put on hold onto holder or scrap yarn and then resumed later.
This way there will be no seams.
This pattern features stranded knitting technique (including 3 colors per row). The yoke is made up of a single chart that contains the increases. Other multicolor charts are distributed in the bottom hem and in the cuffs.
Sample in photos is knit in E+2 yarn by Einrum pure Icelandic wool and mulberry silk blend which gives the sweater a truly original melange texture.You can easily customize the body length.

Biancospino comes in 12 sizes (from 79 to 179 cm 31.1 to 70.4 “ bust circumference).

24 stitches and 35 rows = 10X10 cm 4” in stockinette with 3.5 mm needles or worked on the bigger needles.

Biancospino …è la pianta delle Fate…
La leggenda celtica racconta che è possibile vedere gli spiriti del bosco laddove cresce un albero di Biancospino.

Biancospino è un capo comodo, resistente, caldo e versatile, pensato proprio per essere indossato all’aria aperta
e in contatto con la natura.
E’ un modello lavorato in tondo dall’alto verso il basso, si eseguono degli aumenti graduali nello sprone fino ad arrivare alle maniche che verranno messe in sospeso su un filo per poi essere riprese successivamente. In questo modo non ci saranno cuciture. Questo modello è realizzato con la tecnica jacquard a più colori, (anche 3 colori per riga) Nello sprone si segue un unico schema contenente gli aumenti. Altre semplici greche sono riprese nel bordino inferiore e nei polsini.
La lunghezza del corpo può essere variata facilmente.
Abbiamo usato un filato composto da lana islandese e seta, il filamento di seta è chiaramente visibile e regala alla maglia una texture melange davvero originale.
Nel pattern sono disponibili 12 taglie (da 79 a 179 cm di circonferenza busto), la guida alle taglie e la tabella nel PDF ti aiuteranno a scegliere la vestibilitá che preferisci.
