The Biased Braids Blankets make the perfect cozy addition to your home or amazing gifts for loved ones! The diagonal braids crossing a seemingly woven background of linen stitches make blankets that are elegant, eye-catching, and above all, snuggly.

This adventurous beginner pattern is written for heavy worsted or aran weight yarn, but you could easily substitute a different yarn weight (yardage will vary). If you wish to add or subtract pattern sequence repeats to reach your desired dimensions, you can do so easily using the checklist and additional repeat extenders included in the pattern.

And BONUS, the PDF is interactive- all the checkboxes are clickable on your computer, tablet, or even your phone! And if you prefer things low-tech, you can print off your pattern and use your favorite writing utensil (you know the one) and mark off the same checkboxes manually. So whether you are Team Screen or Team Print, I got you. ;)

Pattern is written in US terms, and includes these skills:

• Chain
• Single Crochet

Yarn
Aran/heavy worsted weight yarn such as KnitPicks Bare Woodland Tweed (you can easily substitute with another weight of yarn using the Stitch Count Checklist and Repeat Extender to reach your desired dimensions; keep in mind your yardage will vary).

• No border: 2810 yards / 2569 meters
• 3-row border: 3010 yards / 2752 meters
• 5-row border: 3075 yards / 2811 meters

Tools

• US K (6.50 mm) hook or larger (the large hook creates a nice, drapey fabric)
• Yarn needle
• Scissors
• Locking stitch marker or large safety pin

Dimensions
Blanket measures approximately 57” x 57” (145 cm x 145 cm) before border (when crocheted as written; changing yarn weights may change your dimensions).
