Bib Bandana for Babies and Toddlers
Striped triangular bib/bandana is knit from the bottom up and is finished off with an applied i-cord edging. Ribbing and snaps at the neck make for a comfortable fit and allow sizing options for babies through toddlers.
Use a nice worsted weight cotton yarn that launders well and will not fade, that works up to 17 sts over 4” in stockinette with size 6 needles. Yardage required: For bandana with 3 colors, about 50 yards each of two stripe colors and 25 yards of a third color for edging. For bandana with only 2 colors, about 70 yards main color and 50 yards contrast color.
Needles: US Size 6 10” straight needles
US size 10 24” circular (used to pick up stitches for applied i-cord)
US Size 8 double pointed needle (only 1 needle required)
2 sets sew-on snaps
